Editing footage in a language you can't understand?
Cut daily's Transcriber/Translator app (TT) will batch transcribe your audio to SRT caption files in over 100 languages.
TT then translates those caption files into English (or multiple European languages), so you can drop those translated SRT files back over your footage and get cutting.
Easy.
One-time purchase. Lifetime updates. Two-machine license.
The translation quality was extremely high. This is going to be really helpful and save a lot of time (and money). As you know, Premiere’s transcription quality is so lame it’s hardly worth using. — Kyle Rainford, Finalise.TV
Audio to SRT
Use the industry-leading Elevenlabs Speech to Text API to transcribe your source audio with support for 100 languages, and rely on Claude or Gemini's LLM API to handle the translations.
The app supports a wide variety of audio file formats, although Elevenlabs has a 1GB file limit.
SRT Translated
If you already have SRT caption files that you need translated into multiple other languages, you can drop these in as well.
Use this app for free!
Start using this app for free, with up to 2.5 hours of free transcription from Elevenlabs, and enough tokens to cover your translations using Google's Gemini API, which also offers a free tier.

As these big-tech AI models improve, so does our app, so you benefit immediately, without waiting for Adobe or Blackmagic to update their native (and far more limited) transcription/translation features, once or twice a year.

How do I get started?
The detailed setup guide will walk you through the very simple process of signing up to these services for free, creating an API key and pasting it into TT's settings panel.
Once you want to use a paid Elevenlabs subscription, you'll need to buy a lifetime license key for Transcriber Translator (TT) to make use of it.

Questions?
"Why should I bother?"
The Elevenlabs API is orders of magnitude cheaper than using their website, so you need a front-end app like this to make use of it. For example, the free tier provides 12 minutes of transcription via the Elevenlabs website, but 2.5 hours via the API.
"Are there any limitations?"
TT is currently supported on Intel and Apple Silicon Macs running Mac OS 13+
.
The Elevenlabs API has a 1GB file limit, but you can upload MP3s instead of uncompressed WAVs if you have very long files to transcode.
TT is using AI for translation; sometimes things go wrong! If you encounter an error, the best approach is just to try it again. Or if a specific translation has failed, just drop the transcribed SRT file back into the app and toggle on the language you want to retry. This will save you re-transcribing it a second time.
"What languages does the ElevenLabs API support?"
The transcription supports 100 languages - many of which apps like Premiere Pro or Avid Media Composer can't deliver natively - with one of the leading speech-to-text models on the market.
